Hello. I have a question for you. The spring service life curve has is up to 10 million times. Is this value a fatigue limit? (If it is less than 10 million times in the service life curve diagram, does it mean that the spring will have an infinite service life?)

Thank you for your inquiry, Tetsu!
Regarding the service life of the spring, the actual durability test data is 10 million times, so 10 million times is the maximum estimated evaluation.
Therefore, even if it is below 10 million times, the evaluation will be 10 million times, and if it is more than that, it will be confirmed in actual use.
As a manufacturer, to say, “This spring has infinite power!”, is quite difficult… (+_+).

Thank you for your inquiry.
Regarding the estimation of the number of service life of the tension coil spring, even if we want to estimate more than 10,500,000 times from the usage conditions, from the “Fatigue strength diagram” of JIS B 2704, it is possible to estimate up to only 10 million times. When plotted on the fatigue strength diagram, because it is well below the line of 10 million times, by combining it with information such as performance in the past and history of the spring, we can expect the estimation of more than 10.5 million times. .. Is this estimation method possible? If possible, it would be helpful to estimate the service life of the spring if you could give us some information on the performance and history of it.
