1 kgf is the weight of an object with a mass of 1 kg under standard gravitational acceleration (g = 9.8 m/s2) (weight is the force when gravity is applied to the mass).
Since the weight of an object with a mass of m is mg, the weight of a mass of 1 [kg] is 1[kg]”*9.8 [m·s^2]=9.8 [kg·m/s^2]=9.8[N].
If you calculate it backward, it will be 1[N]=1/9.8[kgf]=0.102[kgf].
I think it’s better to think that it’s about an order of magnitude different!
