We are using Torsional Spring Car Window winding application & we getting some typical noise when spring releasing from complete torsion mode. The noise cut cut while operating the Window winding mechanism and noise generating from torsion spring. And we are doing moly coating as a lubricating element. Then also we are getting the noise. Can you tell us what are all the possible causes for noise.

Since we do not know the structure and operating conditions of the part where the torsion spring is attached, the location where the sound is generated, and the type of sound, here are the possibilities that we can think of.
1: Contact between wires in the coil
→ Countermeasure: Widen the gaps so that the coils do not contact each other.
2: Contact with the guide rod
→Countermeasure: Widen the guide rod or increase the inner diameter of the coil to widen the gap between the guide rod and the inner diameter.
3: Misalignment or sliding between the arm of the spring and the part that fixes the arm
→ Countermeasure: Check the shape of the arm and the method of fixing the arm
The causes and countermeasures for the noise even with Moly coating are as follows.
1: Friction is so large that the coating does not work
2: Applying the coating to inappropriate areas
3: Coating fades quickly
→ Countermeasures: Try out the countermeasures (review the shape of the spring, the guide rod, and the fixing method of the arm) or change to a coating with high adhesion and durability
There is a possibility that the sound cannot be eliminated with just one measure, so please find the best solution through trial and error.
