Question Yamanaka 2007/4/6(Fri) 17:08
I would like to know the general hardness of coil springs made of piano wires (after all heat treatments such as patenting heat treatment and bluing have been completed) (preferably in Vickers or Brinell’s test values).
Answer Tokai Spring 2007/4/9(Mon) 15:25
Thank you for writing to us, Mr. Yamanaka!
In general, the hardness of the piano wire is converted from the tensile strength (HRC). However, please note that the tensile strength changes depending on the materials (SWP-A, SWP-B), wire diameters, etc.
We are happy to answer any inquiries regarding technology, specifications, materials, etc. Please feel free to ask.
