Question Spring Newbie 2018/7/6(Fri) 8:59
Thank you for all the useful information on your website. I have a question for you. Is there any difference in Young’s modulus and spring constant between SUS304-CSP-H and SUS304-CSP-1/2H due to tempering? When I did some research by myself, there was some information about SUS304-CSP, but it was only about the strength, and the data of Young’s modulus and spring constant are quite difficult to find.
*Considering it is the same as aluminum, the change in Young’s modulus is small even if the hardness changes due to tempering. We would appreciate it if you could answer the above question. Thank you.

Spring Newbie, thank you for posting!!!
Regarding the difference in Young’s modulus due to the difference in tempering of the CSP materials, the value used for spring design is generally designed to be unchanged. Please refer to here for the Young’s modulus values. At the research level, I think there may be slight changes, but since we can not present the materials to you, I think it is okay for me to say “there is no change due to tempering”!
*SUS304(EQ to S30400 by ASTM, X5CrNi1810 by DIN, L-No6X5CrNi18-9 by ISO )
We are happy to answer any inquiries regarding technology, specifications, materials, etc. Please feel free to ask.
