Question Spring Newbie 2018/6/21(Thu) 10:14
How much force is required to bend a spring up to 60 degrees when the spring constant is 3.12?

Spring Newbie, thank you for posting!!!
Since it is the force when bending a spring with a spring constant of 3.12 by 60 degrees, when F = kx (Hooke’s law) is applied, the bending force = spring constant x displacement amount, so the bending force = 3.12 x 60 = 187.2.
I don’t know the unit of spring constant or force, but the unit of spring constant is N/mm or Kg/mm, so if it is an angle, the unit is, for example, N/deg or Kg/deg.
