Question Spring Newbie

In the previous drawing, I used SUP6 6mm to make a flat spring and put it in the furnace (about 200 degrees) with the required shape. However, because of rust, I want to change the material to SUS. Please tell me if SUS304 is good or if there is another good material.

Answer Tokai Spring

Spring Newbie, when SUP6 has a plate thickness of 6mm, SUS304 is the best alternative material if it has the same specifications.
However, it is necessary to confirm that there is no problem in terms of stress. In addition, SUS-based materials can be used in the same environment, but when the plate thickness is 6 mm, there can be a problem with the availability of the material. Thank you!

Dear Mr./Ms. Vino,

Thank you very much for your question!
Unfortunately, we do not sell materials. Having said that, it would be much appreciated if you send your inquiry to material manufacturers directly.

Best regards,
