Question Itokazu 2009/7/8(Wed) 11:24
Please tell me about the hardness of SWP-B, as I don’t think it was in the previous post. JIS does not specify hardness, only tensile strength, so please tell me the hardness converted from tensile strength. The diameter of the material is 2.2 mm. Thank you.

Thank you for writing, Itokazu!
There is no standard for wire diameter φ2.2mm in JIS (JISG3522), so when considering the wire diameter φ2.3mm, the tensile strength is 1960N/mm2 to 2160N/mm2, and when converted into the hardness, it equals HRC53. Also, while 2075N/mm2 equals HRC55, unfortunately, the values above 2075N/mm2 are not in the hardness conversion table.
We are happy to answer any inquiries regarding technology, specifications, materials, etc. Please feel free to ask.
