Question Kanagata

This is my first time using disc springs… So, to be honest, I don’t really understand them. What method can we use to set a load of 30 tons with φ50 disc springs?

Answer Tokai Spring

I think 30 tons is a fairly large load. I will share with you the calculation result for your reference! Material: SUP10
Size: Plate thickness 6.5 x Outer diameter φ50 x Inner diameter φ25.4 x Height 7.5
Stacking: Parallel 4 x Series 1
30-ton load → Deflection 0.4 mm

Answer Another Spring Newbie

Hello, I would like to ask for the calculation for φ12.5 disc springs under 200kg load. Thank you.

Answer Tokai Spring

The calculation of standard-sized disc springs is shown.
Size: Plate thickness 0.7 x Outer diameter φ12.5 x Inner diameter φ6.2 x Height 1.0
Combination: Parallel 4 x Series 1
Stacking free length: 3.10 mm
When the load is 200 kgf (1961N), the deflection is 0.15 mm or more.
