Question Baneton

Do you have the data on the estimated service life of heavy duty discs springs that have t exceeds 14 mm?

Answer Tokai Spring

Thank you for writing to us, Baneton! For the estimated life diagram of disc springs with t>14mm, we would appreciate it if you could refer to the attached diagram. However, please bear in mind that this should be used as a reference only!

Answer Baneton

Thank you very much for the data! I’m sorry for asking many questions, but how can we evaluate whether or not heavy-duty disc springs (F=300 [kN]) will fatigue when it is mounted? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Answer Tokai Spring

Hello! Regarding the fatigue evaluation,
(1) In the case of static use, you can evaluate whether the maximum stress of σc exceeds 2353N/mm^2.
(2) In the case of dynamic use, it is evaluated whether the maximum stress of σt exceeds 1177N/mm^2.
However, the evaluation here is just a reference, and it depends on the material and usage conditions. If you contact us directly, we can help you.
