Question Kokuryo 2007/8/30(Thu) 15:35
This is my first time posting here. A spring broke under the conditions of use as attached. Could you tell me the possible cause? I don’t think there was anything wrong with the way I used it, but I don’t understand the cause due to my lack of experience. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Thank you for writing to us, Kokuryo!
Unfortunately, the service life of the spring cannot be calculated because the material is stainless steel.
However, according to the attached dimensional specifications, the bending stress of the hook part seems to exceed the range of use even with static load. (1390N/mm^2 against the maximum working stress of 1248N/mm^2). We think that stress relaxation is necessary by changing the design of the dimensional specifications.
We are happy to answer any inquiries regarding technology, specifications, materials, etc. Please feel free to ask.
