Question Spring Newbie 2006/11/30(Thu) 13:24
We want to know Young’s modulus and Poisson’s ratio of SUS304-CSP-H. It seems that JIS only lists the tensile strength of this material. Could you provide us with this information?
Answer Tokai Spring 2006/12/1(Fri) 13:32
Thank you for writing to us! The Young’s modulus of SUS304-CSP-H is 186000N/mm^2, and the Poisson’s ratio is 0.3.

Regarding SUS304-CSP (H), should the value of σb in the fatigue strength of the materials you sent me viewed as the tensile strength? Or is it the yield stress?
Answer Tokai Spring 2018/2/28(Wed) 8:50
Dear Spring Newbie, σB generally indicates tensile strength. We use proof stress when considering the safety of the springs.
