Question Spring Newbie

Is it possible to intentionally increase the rotational torque that accompanies the expansion and compression of the compression coil spring?
Also, is there a formula to estimate the rotational torque from the spring specifications?

Answer Tokai Spring

Spring Newbie, thank you for posting your question!
In order to intentionally increase the rotational torque that accompanies expansion and compression, it is necessary to set the parameters according to the expected shape. The rotational torque may be estimated from the spring specifications, but it is difficult to make a highly accurate estimation because there may be differences from the measured values of the actual spring due to manufacturing variations.
If you don’t mind, please let us know the specifications in our inquiry form and we will calculate it. Thank you!
