Question aki 2014/4/3(Thu) 18:18
Is there any documentaries mentioning changes in lateral elastic modulus when the temperature of the spring rises? The material I want to ask for are SWP and SUS304 (The spring is used in an environment of 0 to 60°C.)
Answer Tokai Spring 2014/4/3(Thu) 20:26
0 to 60°C is the normal temperature range for the longitudinal elastic modulus of the spring which depends on the temperature, so there is no problem to the elastic modulus at normal temperature!
Thank you for your inquiry!

I want to use a compression coil spring made of material SWOSC-V in an atmosphere of 180 degrees.
I would like to know the change of the spring constant depending on the ambient temperature. Thank you.
Answer Tokai Spring 2014/4/16(Wed) 10:04
Please consider it as high temperature environment for SUP10 in “Spring technical information when being used in special environment”in our homepage.
It is thought that at 180 degrees, it will decrease by about 4 to 4.5% compared to normal temperature. Thank you for your inquiry!

I would like to use the compression coil spring of material SWPB in an atmosphere of -40°C to +95°C.
Please tell me the change of the spring constant depending on the ambient temperature.
Answer Tokai Spring 2014/6/4(Wed) 15:54
At +95°C, it will be about 96% of the normal temperature.
There is no back data for -40℃, but it seems to be almost the same as at room temperature. Thank you for your inquiry (^.^)!

Is there any data on the elastic modulus change in the low to very low temperature range? The material is SUS304.
Answer Tokai Spring 2018/9/12(Wed) 16:21
Thank you for your inquiry, Spring Newbie!
! It is unfortunate that there is no documentary mentioning the elastic modulus of SUS304 and the low temperature.
If possible, If you contact us here about the purpose, we may be able to show you the related data. Thank you!
We are happy to answer any inquiries regarding technology, specifications, materials, etc. Please feel free to ask.
