Problems and challenges

The torsion spring of the dental centrifugal casting machine used by the dentist had broken, and the spring had to be replaced. There was no drawings of the torsion spring that was originally installed, and it was no longer available in the market, so the customer was in a very difficult situation.

Solution

The customer searched for a spring manufacturer that can manufacture custom-made springs, found our website, and made an inquiry. We immediately asked for information about the spring and the machine in which it was installed, and after getting an overall picture, we asked the customer to send us the actual product so that we could take measurements and estimate the material. We proposed the spring shape, material, and anti-corrosion treatment based on the actual product sent by the customer. However, since the original spring was damaged, we considered the specifications not only based on the information obtained from the measurements, but also by taking into account the calculated load characteristics based on the information about the intended use.

Results

We manufactured and delivered the proposed torsion spring.
Since then, it has been used without any problems, and our customer is pleased with its stable function and long life.
